Congratulations to JACE MEYER our Sunfest Valentine's day winner. She and her husband will get to enjoy a lovely overnight stay, romantic dinner and bottle of wine, at the beautiful and historic "Quamichan Inn" in Duncan. Way to go Jace!!!
In addition, we would like to give an honourable mention to ROB DYKE for being the only gentleman to send in a story. We loved his candid "male" approach to Valentine's Day and for being man enough to share it with us. Rob will receive a special prize package when he comes to Sunfest, including something very special in it as well.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO YOU ALL!! JASON MCCOY rocks the house with Dierks Bentley  2012 Country Album of the Year Juno nominee Jason McCoy will be firing up the stage as the opening act at Sunfest on Saturday night! The Ontario native is an award winning artist both as a solo performer and as the frontman of the hugely successful group The Road Hammers from 2005-2010. Combined, McCoy has three #1 hits to his credit and has scored well over a dozen Top 20 hits. His latest album Everything has delivered the chart-busting singles "She's Good For Me" and "I'd Still Have Everything", which is currently sitting at #4 on CMT's Top 20 Countdown. On Everything McCoy delivers everything from honky tonk to blues tinged barn burners like "Little Bit of Lovin" and will be sure to have Sunfest fans on their feet!
Kortney and Dave Wilson are musicians, reality TV stars, house flipppers, parents of three small children and hosts of their own request show! This busy duo met in Nashville as two struggling artists from Ontario who initially chased their music dream as solo artists. In an effort to spend more time together raising a family, pursuing music careers and flipping real estate to help pay the bills, Kortney and Dave came up with the idea of the reality TV show "Meet The Wilsons" which became a hit series on CMT. Our official MC's of the weekend and will perform and at Sunfest!! BUDWEISER and LUCKY are new Sunfest sponsors! 
Sunfest fans definitely know what they like and we love your participation. When we asked what kind of beer you wanted this year....WOW...the response was awesome! So we are very pleased to announce that LUCKY and BUDWEISER will be the official beer sponsors this year! Budweiser will also be sending a few of their own "Ambassadors" to join the fun at Sunfest! KENTUCKY HEADHUNTERS Join SUNFEST line up - Sunday, AUGUST 5TH!
Once known as the Itchy Brothers, the Kentucky HeadHunters have been creating a hybrid of honky-tonk, blues and Southern rock since 1968. The original band members, brothers Fred and Richard Young, their cousins, Greg Martin and Anthony Kenney, and Mark Orr played as the Itchy Brothers for over a dozen years and then split to launch separate careers. The group reunited as the Kentucky Headhunters in 1985. The band was signed to Mercury and released their first album, Pickin' On Nashville to critical acclaim. Their hits from the album, including "Dumas Walker" and "Oh, Lonesome Me" helped garner two CMA's, one for Album of the Year. Since 2000, the band has released Songs From the Grass String Ranch, Soul and Big Boss Man. If so, we still have a few spots that we will be filling for our SUNFEST SALOON stage and applications are being accepted now by sending in your information to enter@sunfestconcerts.com and placing "Artist Submission" in the subject line. Please send us your website link, MP3, EPK or mail your promo package to Sunfest Artist Submissions - 1540 Dingwall Road, Courtenay BC V9N 3S7. Please include in all packages a short 3-5 line bio, promo picture, and CD. The genre we are looking for is Country/Country Rock and all bands or artists will be contacted by March 15th and further details will be sent if chosen.
